Super Hero Birthday Card!

Hi everyone,

I'm popping in today with a quick birthday card I put together. I lost the wifi link to my printer (after my puppy chewed through the internet cable ... !!) AND I just had to create something to print to test if my link was working again. I was getting frustrated as I had to keep borrowing the usb cable from my Silhouette Cameo every time I wanted to print something. I'm so glad it's working properly again!

I used the A2 Card bases 4 cutting files from PPPR. I cut the base on plain dark brown cardstock and used the standard patterns from my Silhouette program which I then colourized to match my super cute Super Hero Girl. I purchased her a while ago from a fab Etsy owner. I made a copy of the Super Hero Girl and stuck her on top of the patterned cardstock for a 3D effect.

I hope you enjoyed my quick post!
Happy Crafting and see you again soon.

Mixed Christmas Gifts!

Hello friends,

I've been working on a few projects for Christmas this month and wanted to share the variety of gifts I've made.

There are quite a few pictures to fill up this blog page so I'll keep the text to a minimum.

Coffee cup for my sons teacher
Lori Whitlock treat boxes and sticky note holders
Candy treat bags - my design and text printed onto heat transfer paper
Coffee cup for my hubby!
My son was born in the UK so I decorated this boring white pillowcase for his bed - I used the printable heat transfer paper again - I love the distressed flag I found online
Gift card holder box and tag for a December birthday my son attended
Naughty/Nice, Merry & Bright cushions I made for my neighbour who invited us round for a fabulous fish chowder and fresh baked bread meal - yum!
Heat Transfer Vinyl used was red, dark green and glitter red!

Thank you for visiting today - wishing you and your families a safe and Merry Christmas!

Happy Crafting!

Class Christmas Treats!

Hi Friends,

This year is almost over and there is so much still to be done before our Christmas break. I'm still being preoccupied by my beautiful puppy so things at home are getting half done when I can grab a quick moment!

When dinner was cooked, my son was doing his homework and the pup was having a quick snooze I managed to create and finish the small treats for my son's class - luckily there are only twelve treats I had to make.

I used the free Candy Cane Mouse file I downloaded a while back from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons - it is such a cute file and I loved that it has a candy cane as that is what I am giving the kids.

I opened the file in my Silhouette software, used the offset feature to add a white border around it, added my registration marks, sent it to my printer and then cut it in my machine.

I attached the candy canes with a small circle foam piece from Recollections which fit perfectly.

Completed and ready to hand out next week!

Merry Christmas

Something for my son!

Hi Friends,

Just a quick stop to show you my latest project I made for my son. He loves Minecraft as a lot of kids and adults do!

I've been wanting to make him a cushion for his bed and decided to buy all the bits and put it together when I found a free moment. I don't sew so the cushion cover (which I think is a perfect colour match) and cushion inner were purchased from Ikea. I had some black HTV at home already so all I needed to do was create the 'Creeper' face and decide on the layout and size.

To save on vinyl (which is costly to waste) I ended up cutting each face individually instead of on one big sheet and just eyeballed it when I ironed them onto the cover. It was pretty easy to lay them out - I started at the top, then matched the bottom three, then the middle three and then I filled in the row of two's.

Now it's back to creating my festive teacher gifts!

Halloween class treats!

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit late in updating this to my blog but I just wanted to share the cute little treats I made for my sons class.

I used the file 'Creatures of the Night' by Too Cute by Jessica with print and cut and added the 'From Luke' underneath. The little envelopes were from Michaels and the washi tape I had in my stash. I added a Halloween pen, (also from Michaels) and 2 candy treats.

Thanks for visiting today!

I hope to see you soon for our 'Think Christmas' Blog Hop this coming Saturday (7th Nov).
