Colourful Summer Treat!

Hi Friends,

Tomorrow is my sons last day at school for the year. I've been delayed in getting gifts and treats out for this year. I managed to get a few minutes this morning to create a treat card for some of the kids using the print and cut feature on my Silhouette.

I had this cute rainbow file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons that I decided to use for the treat card:
I added some text and sent it to print and then to cut:
It was a quick and easy project - I added a colourful lollipop and here's the result and final product:

Thank you for visiting today!

June 2016 Blog Hop featuring Dreaming Tree SVG files!

BLOG HOP CONTEST CLOSED! WINNERS ANNOUNCED HERE:
MY BLOG WINNER AND GRAND PRIZE WINNER

Hello friends,
Welcome to the blog hop featuring Dreaming Tree SVG files!

For this Blog Hop I am using Dreaming Tree's free 'Elegant Favour Box' file and decided to give it a casual Summer feel! That's the great thing about their files, you can create them in any style you like!

I cut the file out in various colours and matched the side panels with some fruit/farm cardstock and added a tag from the same card which I attached with a little peg/clip.
I added a small bird house and a fence box to complete my display.
(These two files are from My Scrapchick.)
These favour boxes are a great size and fit perfectly on a standard 8.5 x 11 inch page. They can be filled with any yummy treat ... perhaps I'll 'make' some 'homemade' shortbread cookies and give them to my neighbours!

Download the file, and while you're there make sure you check out all the other fabulous files from Dreaming Tree

Visit my previous posts using Dreaming Tree files for further inspiration - Vegas style, St Paddy's Day, Valentine's Treat, and Halloween!

New CT project for Studio Ilustrado

Hello Friends,

So I've some EXCITING news to share!

I reached out to Studio Ilustrado recently as I had created a cute project last month using one of their files - the Sand Castle Box file, which they loved! I really liked working with this file and the ease of cutting and putting it together - so after some chats with them I am now part of their Creative Team and I'm sharing my first project with you today!

I'd chosen this file through the Silhouette Store last month during their great sale as I wanted to create it for my husband for Father's Day.

It's a great file to cut and all the pieces can fit onto a 12x12 size mat. If you position your paper choices correctly on your mat then you only need to send it to your Silhouette once to cut everything.

Studio Ilustrado have added some new designs to the Silhouette Store and their website - check them out for some SUPER cute files - they offer a great selection too:

Back to my Tuxedo Box, I used some shiny blue cardstock and found a glitter pattern cardstock in my stash which I thought would look cool as the bowtie, vest and pocket handkerchief.

I'm sure my husband is going to love this cute box and then use it to store something else once the candy is finished :).

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you find some great files over at Studio Ilustrado and share them with us.

See you soon,
Happy Crafting!

Yummy treats! Silhouette Challenges #38

Hello friends,

Thank you for visiting today!

I'm sharing some Lori Whitlock creations with you. Two of the files I purchased from the Silhouette Design store and the third file was a free download from Lori's May 2016 Blog Hop.
If you don't know already, from my previous posts (Easter, Christmas, Father's Day, etc..)  - I'm a BIG BIG fan of her work!!.

Today's project files are the: 3D Cupcake Box3D Scalloped Party Favor Box and 3 Flowers.

Lori Whitlock files from the Silhouette Design Store
I chose the paper from my stash and started cutting out the files. I decided to use the same paper for all the boxes and used both sides so that I had the same design but different colours. With the Cupcake Box insert and the flowers I used a plain green and plain dark pink.

I also alternated the flower petal colours and added a coloured enamel dot to finish it off. I altered the template viewing area slightly and added a frame to finish it off.

The little favour boxes can be filled with some yummy candy or any small treat really! One Ferrero Rocher (my favourite) will look really cute in this box. I might gift it to myself if I buy some ... lol! These boxes are small but can be resized if you need a bigger box.

I hope you enjoyed my scrumptious project. Thank you for visiting me today!
Happy Crafting!
